The name of the restaurant taku comes from Japanese and means House of hospitality. It is the first address for authentic East Asian delights.
During the day, we offer coffee and tea specialties as well as patisserie and cakes at our Piano Bar.
In the evening, the charming bar team will mix excellent cocktail classics and their own creations. Right next to the Hanse Stube, at our Riesling Lounge you can taste Riesling wines from all wine regions of Germany in a cozy atmosphere.

Charles Roulet, owner of the Excelsior Hotel Ernst, received the award “Hotel of the year 2010”.
Wilhelm Luxem, managing director, was honored as “Hotel Manager of the year”.
The East Asian restaurant “taku” was elected as the “foreign restaurant of the year”.

Our health and sauna area is exclusively for our guests. Usage is free of charge and opening hours are: 7am to 10pm.

If you wish, our concierge will book a session with a personal trainer for you.
