The place with its historical charm is a former, detached, three-story building from 1842, which is under monumental protection. It used to be a “Communal-Armenschule” (charity school) with two staircases and symmetrical composed rooms, as girls and boys were taught separately, and it is the oldest, still preserved school of suburban Spandau. Through the combination of bar, club, restaurant and charming event spaces, the house with about 1000 m² is as vibrant as ever and belongs to the locations in Berlin for the past two years. A 300 square metres big restaurant area and the bar are situated on the ground floor. The restaurant is open for evening dinner seven days a week and all-day on weekdays. One can look forward to a marvellous outside terrace in summer. The restaurant’s special feature reveals itself in the consumption and enjoyment of meat. An American Southbend-Grill is used in preparing the fine quality of the meat, which heats up to 800° in a short time and gives the meat a wonderfully roasted flavour. The club in the first floor invites to extensive celebrations up until the early morning hours on Fridays and Saturdays and is also available for exclusive events during the week. If you want to offer your guests the big city charm of Berlin as well as class and you want your event to take place in the unique flair of the city’s heart, the event space on the second floor is just the right thing. Corporate Events with up to 400 guests are possible through the flexible suits- and spacial concept. Likewise, The Grand offers the best requirements for shootings, as a setting for a film, seminars and meetings.
